We retain your personal data and research materials only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the services.

• Active Accounts: Your research library and writing profiles are stored securely until you choose to delete them.
• Deletion Upon Request: When you delete your account, we trigger a process to permanently remove your data from our active production databases within 30 days.
• Backups: Residual copies may persist in encrypted off-site backups for up to 60 days following deletion.

Depending on your location (such as if you are in the EEU or UK), you may have certain statutory rights regarding your personal data:

• Access & Portability: Request a copy of the data we hold or request its transfer to another service.
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information at any time.
• Erasure: Request the permanent deletion of your account and associated data.
